Sorry about the misunderstanding, what I ment was when they are old enough to attend highschool. And as far as all the schools in the county being in the same shape as Kelly, they are not. Obviously you havent been in them lately. Just because Kelly is run down and needs repairs doesnt mean that the other schools in the county should have to suffer by consolidation just so people in wise can get their school fixed.
I agree with you dragonkingjt about the schools. They are not all run down like kelly and we shouldnt have to suffer because they were too lazy to keep their school maintained.
What schools do you all or you children go too? Plus are you two blind? Basically every school in SWVA is run down. Face the facts, consolidation is better and it WILL happen. Like it or not.
I went to Pound High School and I graduated in 2005. I do not think that there is any thing wrong with our school. It is a solid, sturdy, SAFE building! And as for consolidation being better and "it WILL happen" that is just dumb to think that. This attitude that it will happen is nothing but a product of basham's administration. Yes he is gone, but a lot of his buddies are still up there. And since they couldnt sneek this consolidation thing through before everyone found out and got mad about it, they are now trying to spread the IDEA that consolidation is inevitable. Like i have said over and over, if people around here continue to fight it like they have before then it will not happen. Change only happens because people let it.
Kelly needs a good PRESSURE WASHING and a little paint. Would do wonders on exterior appearance. Haven't been past the gym and bathroom in years.

why does everyone around here think that this stuff is inevitable? IT IS NOT!!! FIGHT IT WITH ALL YOUR HEART!!! DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED IF IT TAKES TIME, IF YOU PERSIST THEN YOU SHALL BE VICTORIOUS!!! [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer1.gif[/img] Fight it for all the small schools, all the small towns, that are sick and tired of being bullied by these bigger schools that are going to do whatever is best for them and ONLY them. Let them have it, but tell them to leave us out of it!
